| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Educators Rising is a student-led grassroots |

| 11 | 12 | | initiative is cultivating a new generation of diverse and highly |

| 12 | 13 | | motivated educators by guiding youth toward careers in teaching; in |

| 13 | 14 | | the Lone Star State, Educators Rising is affiliated with the Texas |

| 14 | 15 | | Association of Future Educators, a nonprofit created in 1984 that |

| 15 | 16 | | assists middle school and high school pupils in exploring the |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Joining students from around the country at the |

| 18 | 19 | | national conference, Gavyn Roberts placed third in Children's |

| 19 | 20 | | Literature -- K-3; this gifted young Texan has benefited from the |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Gavyn Roberts has demonstrated exemplary skill and |
