45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Chelsea Valenzuela of Andrews High School earned
67 great distinction by turning in an exceptional performance at the
78 Educators Rising 2021 National Conference; and
89 WHEREAS, Educators Rising is a student-led grassroots
910 movement with chapters in every state; by coordinating efforts with
1011 state departments of education and local organizations, the
1112 initiative is cultivating a new generation of diverse and highly
1213 motivated educators by guiding youth toward careers in teaching; in
1314 the Lone Star State, Educators Rising is affiliated with the Texas
1415 Association of Future Educators, a nonprofit created in 1984 that
1516 assists middle school and high school pupils in exploring the
1617 teaching profession; and
1718 WHEREAS, Joining students from around the country at the
1819 national conference, Chelsea Valenzuela placed second in Inside Our
1920 Schools Presentation; this gifted young Texan has benefited from
2021 the guidance of teacher leader/advisor Krista Scott; and
2122 WHEREAS, Chelsea Valenzuela has demonstrated exemplary skill
2223 and discipline in preparing for a career in education and may look
2324 ahead to a future that is bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2526 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Chelsea
2627 Valenzuela on an outstanding performance at the Educators Rising
2728 2021 National Conference and extend sincere best wishes to this
2829 dedicated student for continued success; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Chelsea Valenzuela as an expression of high regard by
3132 the Texas House of Representatives.
