H.R. No. 2
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carla Stewart is celebrating five and a half decades
of dedicated service to Citizens State Bank in Woodville in 2021;
and
WHEREAS, During her high school years in Colmesneil,
Ms. Stewart worked for the superintendent and learned the skill of
rolling money; she went on to enroll in secretarial courses at
Massey Business College and then embarked on her career with
Citizens State Bank, where she has been employed ever since; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of her tenure, Ms. Stewart has lent
her expertise to all areas of the bank's operations while adapting
to technological advances in the industry, including the use of
computers, automated teller machines, and mobile deposits;
moreover, Citizens was the first Tyler County bank to utilize
account numbers, and she helped customers adjust to that change;
along the way, she has distinguished herself with her keen
intellect and cheerful disposition, and she has served as a mentor
to many coworkers; and
WHEREAS, Through her professionalism and commitment to
excellence, Carla Stewart has gained the respect of her colleagues
and clients alike at Citizens State Bank, and she is indeed
deserving of special recognition as she reaches this milestone in
her career; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Carla Stewart
on her 55th anniversary with Citizens State Bank and extend to her
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Stewart as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
