| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Through her tireless advocacy work, Priscilla |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Hale is the executive director of the statewide |

| 9 | 10 | | nonprofit allgo, which celebrates and nurtures queer people of |

| 10 | 11 | | color through cultural arts, wellness, and social justice |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | programming; under her leadership, the organization conducts |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | anti-oppression consultancies and training, promotes LGBTQIA+ |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | artists and their work, offers sex education classes, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | distributes health supplies; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A native of East Austin, Ms. Hale holds a bachelor's |

| 16 | 17 | | degree from St. Edward's University and a master's degree in social |

| 17 | 18 | | work from Our Lady of the Lake University; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, By empowering those who are marginalized, Priscilla |

| 19 | 20 | | Hale is helping to build a more just, open, and vibrant society for |

| 20 | 21 | | residents of the Lone Star State, and she may indeed take great |

| 21 | 22 | | pride in her many contributions; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Priscilla A. Hale |
