| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Martha Mangum is retiring as executive director of |

| 6 | 7 | | the Real Estate Council of San Antonio in 2021, drawing to a close |

| 7 | 8 | | three decades of exemplary service to the commercial real estate |

| 8 | 9 | | industry; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, A former school teacher, Mrs. Mangum helped |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | establish the Real Estate Council of San Antonio and became its |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | first executive director in 1991; over the succeeding years, she |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | has dedicated herself to advancing the organization's mission and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | to building a foundation for its continued success and longevity; |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | seeking to create an informed and empowered membership, she has |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | attended thousands of hours of workshops, planning meetings, and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | public meetings, and she has worked long hours addressing issues |

| 17 | 18 | | important to the real estate industry and to the overall economic |

| 18 | 19 | | development of the Alamo City; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, In recognition of her invaluable contributions, |

| 20 | 21 | | Mrs. Mangum received the 2015 Barshop Founder's Award, the highest |

| 21 | 22 | | honor bestowed by the Real Estate Council of San Antonio; in all her |

| 22 | 23 | | endeavors, she has enjoyed the love and support of her husband, |

| 23 | 24 | | Paul, and she takes great pride in their children, Travis and |

| 24 | 25 | | Meredith, and their grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Martha Mangum has upheld the |

| 26 | 27 | | highest standards of her profession, and she may take well-deserved |

| 27 | 28 | | pride in her exceptional record of achievement as she embarks on the |

| 28 | 29 | | next exciting chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it |

| 29 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
