| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Angela Hale has been a leader in the fight for social |

| 6 | 7 | | justice for members of the LGBTQIA+ communities in Texas, and her |

| 7 | 8 | | efforts have made a positive difference in numerous lives; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A Dallas native, Ms. Hale is the founder and |

| 9 | 10 | | managing partner of Red Media Group, a strategic communications and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | public affairs company; she has assisted Equality Texas since 2015, |

| 11 | 12 | | leading advocacy and communications strategy and serving as a |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | senior advisor; in addition, she served the organization as interim |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | CEO during summer and fall of 2019; she guided communications |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | strategy in support of the legalization of gay marriage for Akin, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Gump, Straus, Hauer, and Feld, and she has led business coalitions |

| 16 | 17 | | in their battles to defeat dozens of discriminatory bills; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Hale began her career as an Emmy Award-winning |

| 18 | 19 | | television journalist, employed by such large media corporations as |

| 19 | 20 | | CBS and Viacom in Dallas, San Antonio, and Laredo, as well as |

| 20 | 21 | | Florida; subsequently, she worked in politics in North Texas before |

| 21 | 22 | | moving to Austin to become the top senior policy advisor and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | communications and media operations executive in the office of the |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | Texas Attorney General; she also served as the senior policy and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | communications executive for the speaker of the Texas House; her |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | expertise in government affairs, crisis communications, and public |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | relations allows her to advise a wide range of clients, from |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | international law firms and Fortune 500 companies to municipal |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | governments, economic development corporations, trade |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | associations, and nonprofit organizations; and |

| 30 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Angela Hale is working to further inclusion and |

| 31 | 32 | | equality in the Lone Star State, and she may indeed reflect with |

| 32 | 33 | | pride on her many noteworthy accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
