45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Angela Hale has been a leader in the fight for social
67 justice for members of the LGBTQIA+ communities in Texas, and her
78 efforts have made a positive difference in numerous lives; and
89 WHEREAS, A Dallas native, Ms. Hale is the founder and
910 managing partner of Red Media Group, a strategic communications and
1011 public affairs company; she has assisted Equality Texas since 2015,
1112 leading advocacy and communications strategy and serving as a
1213 senior advisor; in addition, she served the organization as interim
1314 CEO during summer and fall of 2019; she guided communications
1415 strategy in support of the legalization of gay marriage for Akin,
1516 Gump, Straus, Hauer, and Feld, and she has led business coalitions
1617 in their battles to defeat dozens of discriminatory bills; and
1718 WHEREAS, Ms. Hale began her career as an Emmy Award-winning
1819 television journalist, employed by such large media corporations as
1920 CBS and Viacom in Dallas, San Antonio, and Laredo, as well as
2021 Florida; subsequently, she worked in politics in North Texas before
2122 moving to Austin to become the top senior policy advisor and
2223 communications and media operations executive in the office of the
2324 Texas Attorney General; she also served as the senior policy and
2425 communications executive for the speaker of the Texas House; her
2526 expertise in government affairs, crisis communications, and public
2627 relations allows her to advise a wide range of clients, from
2728 international law firms and Fortune 500 companies to municipal
2829 governments, economic development corporations, trade
2930 associations, and nonprofit organizations; and
3031 WHEREAS, Angela Hale is working to further inclusion and
3132 equality in the Lone Star State, and she may indeed reflect with
3233 pride on her many noteworthy accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
3334 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
3435 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Angela Hale for her
3536 service to the LGBTQIA+ communities of Texas and extend to her
3637 sincere best wishes for continued success in her important work;
3738 and, be it further
3839 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3940 prepared for Ms. Hale as an expression of high regard by the Texas
4041 House of Representatives.
