| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ash Hall has been a leader in the fight for social |

| 6 | 7 | | justice for members of the LGBTQIA+ communities in Texas, and their |

| 7 | 8 | | efforts have made a positive difference in numerous lives; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A native of Clear Lake, Ash earned a bachelor's |

| 9 | 10 | | degree in psychology with a minor in women's and gender studies from |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | The University of Texas at Austin, where they participated in a |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | queer student-advocacy group; they went on to help with campaigns |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | for pro-equality candidates, including former Houston Mayor Annise |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Parker and State Representative Celia Israel, and they have |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | testified before Texas legislative committees to defend the rights |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | of LGBTQIA+ Texans; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, Ash has set an inspiring example of |

| 17 | 18 | | civic engagement, serving as a political manager for the LGBTQ |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Victory Fund in Washington, D.C., a legislative fellow and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | government relations manager at Equality Texas, a congressional |

| 20 | 21 | | intern in the office of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, and a content |

| 21 | 22 | | manager for the Texas Civil Rights Project; in addition, they have |

| 22 | 23 | | served as a Democratic precinct chair and a policy advocate; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Through their myriad endeavors, Ash Hall has helped |

| 24 | 25 | | further inclusion and equality in the Lone Star State, and they may |

| 25 | 26 | | indeed reflect with pride on their many noteworthy accomplishments; |
