| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Hinojosa claimed the prestigious title after |

| 10 | 11 | | opportunity to represent Texas at Miss USA 2021 at The Cove at River |

| 11 | 12 | | Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 29; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of McAllen Memorial High School, |

| 13 | 14 | | Ms. Hinojosa began competing in pageants in 2015; this past year |

| 14 | 15 | | she earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural communications and |

| 15 | 16 | | journalism from Texas A&M University; inspired to help her |

| 16 | 17 | | community by her grandfather, former U.S. Congressman Rubén |

| 17 | 18 | | Hinojosa, she founded Victorious Angels, which worked with the |

| 18 | 19 | | nonprofit Proyecto Desarrollo Humano to provide school supplies to |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Victoria Hinojosa has demonstrated admirable |

| 21 | 22 | | commitment to pursuing her goals, and she has brought great pride to |
