| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Donna Mills is retiring as the Precinct 2 |

| 6 | 7 | | commissioner for the Live Oak County Commissioners Court at the end |

| 7 | 8 | | of her current term, drawing to a close an exemplary tenure that has |

| 8 | 9 | | spanned nearly a decade and a half; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, First elected as the Live Oak County Precinct 2 |

| 10 | 11 | | commissioner in November 2006, Donna Mills took office on January |

| 11 | 12 | | 1, 2007; among her many achievements, she has taken special pride in |

| 12 | 13 | | the assistance that the county provides to seniors and to residents |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | in need; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In holding a county commissioner's seat, Ms. Mills |

| 15 | 16 | | has followed the example set by her parents, Hilbert and Barbara |

| 16 | 17 | | Jean Kopplin, who also served on the court and who instilled in |

| 17 | 18 | | their daughter the importance of public service; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The dedication, professionalism, and commitment to |

| 19 | 20 | | excellence that Donna Mills has demonstrated have greatly benefited |

| 20 | 21 | | the residents of Live Oak County, and her contributions will |

| 21 | 22 | | continue to resonate in the community in the years to come; now, |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Donna Mills on |
