| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Sarah Wiseman of Liberty High School in Frisco has |

| 7 | 8 | | Teaching of the Humanities Award from Humanities Texas; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The state affiliate of the National Endowment for |

| 9 | 10 | | the Humanities, Humanities Texas works to improve the quality of |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | classroom teaching, support libraries and museums, and create |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | opportunities for lifelong learning; one of only 15 teaching |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | accolades presented annually by the organization, the Outstanding |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Teaching of the Humanities Award is reserved for the educator who |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | receives the highest rating from the Humanities Texas award |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | committee; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A 13-year veteran of the Frisco Independent School |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | District, Ms. Wiseman joined Liberty High School in 2015, and she |

| 18 | 19 | | has since taught gifted and talented humanities courses, as well as |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | AP U.S. history and world history; admired for her inclusive |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | teaching style, she has helped numerous students acquire the skills |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | they need to become informed and engaged citizens; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, The education of young Texans is of paramount |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | importance to the future of the Lone Star State, and Sarah Wiseman |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | has set a standard of excellence to which all in her profession may |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sarah Wiseman |
