| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Aledo Middle School Honor Winds ensemble is |

| 10 | 11 | | raising the standards of music education, the Midwest Clinic |

| 11 | 12 | | annually draws more than 18,000 teachers and musicians from |

| 12 | 13 | | throughout the U.S. as well as numerous foreign countries; the |

| 13 | 14 | | clinic features concerts from a broad range of student groups, with |

| 14 | 15 | | invitees selected through a competitive application process; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Guided by band director Joey Qualls, the members of |

| 16 | 17 | | the Aledo Middle School Honor Winds will have the distinction of |

| 17 | 18 | | performing at the McCormick Place Convention Center; this |

| 18 | 19 | | achievement follows on the heels of the group's exceptional showing |

| 19 | 20 | | at the 2020 State Honor Band Competition, where it was named first |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The Aledo Middle School Honor Winds band has |

| 23 | 24 | | nation, and its members may take great pride in earning this |
