| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Kevin Raines was elected as mayor of the City of |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, In fulfilling the duties of his office, Mayor Raines |

| 8 | 9 | | draws on a wealth of valuable experience; this committed public |

| 9 | 10 | | official won election to the Rosenberg City Council in June 2019, |

| 10 | 11 | | and he was named mayor pro tem later that month and again the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | following year; he has further contributed to the city as a member |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | of the Parks and Recreation Board, the Rosenberg Development |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Corporation Board, the Fort Bend Economic Development Council, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | various other committees; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A resident of Rosenberg since the early 1990s, Mayor |

| 16 | 17 | | Raines worked for the city's police department for nearly two |

| 17 | 18 | | decades, serving as a patrol officer, patrol sergeant, and |

| 18 | 19 | | detective before retiring in 2011; in all his endeavors, he enjoys |

| 19 | 20 | | the love and support of his wife, Lisa, and their three daughters; |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The effective operation of government depends on the |

| 22 | 23 | | able and dedicated efforts of our public servants, and Kevin Raines |
