45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Philip Martin Loveless
67 of Arlington were deeply saddened by his death on October 1, 2021,
78 at the age of 76; and
89 WHEREAS, The son of Colonel Philip Loveless Jr. and Virginia
910 Loveless, Phil Loveless was born on February 3, 1945, in Warren,
1011 Ohio; after graduating from Sidney Lanier High School in 1963, he
1112 earned a business degree from Kent State University, where he was
1213 commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force; during his
1314 service, he was a radar navigator on a B-52 bomber and received a
1415 master's degree in business from Indiana University as part of the
1516 Air Force Institute of Technology program; and
1617 WHEREAS, Following the completion of his enlistment in 1975,
1718 Mr. Loveless embarked on a rewarding career with American Hospital
1819 Supply that would span 30 years; outgoing and respected by all who
1920 knew him, he became a top-selling medical supply salesman for the
2021 company; and
2122 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Loveless benefited from
2223 the love and support of his wife, Linda, with whom he shared a
2324 fulfilling marriage of more than five decades; he took great pride
2425 in their three children, Kevin, Kirk, and Jennifer, and with the
2526 passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to
2627 include four treasured grandchildren, Cameron, Ashley, Katelyn,
2728 and Gavin; in his leisure hours, he enjoyed traveling, boating, and
2829 spending time at the beach and in the countryside near Hico; and
2930 WHEREAS, A proud veteran, a devoted father, and a loving
3031 husband, Phil Loveless lived a life that was rich in the intangibles
3132 that matter most, and he will forever hold a special place in the
3233 hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him; now,
3334 therefore, be it
3435 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
3536 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
3637 of Philip Martin Loveless and extend sincere sympathy to the
3738 members of his family: to his wife, Linda Rankin Loveless; to his
3839 children, Kevin Loveless, Kirk Loveless and his wife, Susan, and
3940 Jennifer Loveless Hill and her husband, John; to his grandchildren,
4041 Cameron, Ashley, Katelyn, and Gavin; and to his other relatives and
4142 many friends; and, be it further
4243 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4344 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
4445 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Phil
4546 Loveless.
