| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Fort Bend City Council pitched in |

| 6 | 7 | | to help a young farmer cover the expenses of his participation in |

| 7 | 8 | | the Junior Livestock Show at the 2021 Fort Bend County Fair and |

| 8 | 9 | | Rodeo; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Johnny Bolek, a 16-year-old local high school |

| 10 | 11 | | student, raised a goat for the livestock show, hoping to qualify the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | animal for auction; proceeds from the sale of an animal at the show |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | go toward a college scholarship; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, When Mr. Bolek's goat did not make it to auction, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | the members of the Fort Bend City Council each personally |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | contributed $100 to buy the goat and help the young man cover his |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | expenses; the goat, whose name is Fred, was donated to the petting |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | zoo at River Pointe Church in Richmond; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The Fort Bend City Council includes Mayor Joe R. |

| 19 | 20 | | Zimmerman and council members William Ferguson, Jennifer J. Lane, |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Suzanne Whatley, Naushad Kermally, Stewart Jacobson, and Carol K. |

| 21 | 22 | | McCutcheon; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, The generosity of these caring public servants has |

| 23 | 24 | | made a positive difference in the life of Mr. Bolek, and their |

| 24 | 25 | | kindness is truly deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, |
