| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Darius D. Todd, who retired from the Office of the |

| 4 | 4 | | Comptroller of Public Accounts on July 31, 2021, after 28 years |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | of outstanding service to the state; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Darius Todd began his distinguished career in |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | state service as an employee of the Texas Department of State |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Health Services, where he served in capacities ranging from |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | network manager to business analyst; he also served as the senior |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | internet technology liaison to the Multi-agency Coordination |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Center and played an important role in multiple disaster response |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | efforts; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, He joined the comptroller's office in 2013 as a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | software development technical lead; over the course of his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | tenure with the agency, he was instrumental in the design, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | development, delivery, and support of certified public |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | accountant financial and tax applications; in June of 2015, he |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | became the Database Administration and Application Performance |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | manager in the IT Applications Services Division; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he handled his many |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | responsibilities with noteworthy efficiency, dedication, and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | attention to detail; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he was respected and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Darius D. Todd on |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | his exceptional service to the people of Texas and extend to him |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be |
