55 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
66 AN ACT
77 relating to the penalty for a violation of an emergency management
88 plan.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 418.173, Government Code, is repealed.
1111 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to an
1212 offense committed on or after the effective date of this Act and to
1313 any criminal action pending on the effective date of this Act for an
1414 offense committed before that effective date. A final conviction
1515 for an offense under Section 418.173, Government Code, that exists
1616 on the effective date of this Act is unaffected by this Act.
1717 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1818 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1919 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2020 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2121 Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
