9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Chapter 83, Family Code, is amended by adding | |
11 | 11 | Section 83.0025 to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | Sec. 83.0025. ENFORCEMENT OF TEMPORARY EX PARTE ORDER. A | |
13 | 13 | temporary ex parte order rendered under this chapter is enforceable | |
14 | 14 | to the same extent and in the same manner as a final protective | |
15 | 15 | order rendered under Chapter 85. | |
16 | 16 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to a | |
17 | 17 | temporary ex parte protective order rendered under Chapter 83, | |
18 | 18 | Family Code, regardless of whether the order was rendered before, | |
19 | 19 | on, or after the effective date of this Act. | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
