A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the use of certain devices by a person near a voting
station; creating a criminal offense.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 61.014, Election Code, is amended by
adding Subsections (e) and (f) to read as follows:
(e) A person commits an offense if the person, with
knowledge that such activity is illegal, knowingly violates
Subsection (a) or (b).
(f) An offense under Subsection (e) is a Class C
misdemeanor.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
