| 8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 2054.5191, Government Code, is amended |

| 10 | 10 | | by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |

| 11 | 11 | | (g) For purposes of this section, "state agency" includes |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the legislature and a legislative agency. |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 2. Section 11.175(g), Education Code, as added by |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Chapter 1045 (S.B. 1267), Acts of the 87th Legislature, Regular |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Session, 2021, is repealed. |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 3. To the extent of any conflict, this Act prevails |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | over another Act of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | relating to nonsubstantive additions to and corrections in enacted |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | codes. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
