The bill would expand employment preference to include an individual who resides in a household with a veteran, if the individual is the primary source of income for the household and veteran, if the veteran has a total disability rating based either on having a service-connected or on individual unemployability, and if the veteran is receiving Supplemental Security Income benefits or Social Security Disability Insurance benefits. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
