44 AN ACT
55 relating to compensatory time accrued by an employee of the Texas
66 Department of Criminal Justice.
77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Section 659.015(k), Government Code, is amended
99 to read as follows:
1010 (k) Compensatory time off to which an employee of [a
1111 correctional officer employed by] the Texas Department of Criminal
1212 Justice is entitled under Subsection (f) must be taken during the
1313 24-month period following the end of the workweek in which the
1414 compensatory time was accrued or it lapses.
1515 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
