| 7 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Section 38.203, Insurance Code, is amended to |

| 9 | 9 | | read as follows: |

| 10 | 10 | | Sec. 38.203. QUALIFICATIONS OF STATISTICAL AGENT. To |

| 11 | 11 | | qualify as a statistical agent, an organization must demonstrate at |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | least two [five] years of experience in data collection, data |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | maintenance, data quality control, accounting, and related areas. |

| 14 | 14 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
