 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 21.17(a), Penal Code, is amended to read
 as follows:
 (a) A person commits an offense if the person, with the
intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of the actor,
observes, including remotely through the use of electronic means,
another person without the other person's consent while the other
person is in a dwelling or structure in which the other person has a
 reasonable expectation of privacy.
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
to an offense committed on or after the effective date of this Act.
