| 8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 48.106(a), Education Code, is amended to |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | (a) For each full-time equivalent student in average daily |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | attendance in an approved career and technology education program |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | in grades 75 through 12, a district is entitled to an annual |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | allotment equal to the basic allotment, or, if applicable, the sum |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | of the basic allotment and the allotment under Section 48.101 to |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | which the district is entitled, multiplied by: |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (1) 1.1 for a full-time equivalent student in career |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and technology education courses not in an approved program of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | study; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (2) 1.28 for a full-time equivalent student in levels |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | one and two career and technology education courses in an approved |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | program of study, as identified by the agency; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (3) 1.47 for a full-time equivalent student in levels |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | three and four career and technology education courses in an |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | approved program of study, as identified by the agency. |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
