44 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
55 AN ACT
66 relating to the career and technology education allotment under the
77 Foundation School Program.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 48.106(a), Education Code, is amended to
1010 read as follows:
1111 (a) For each full-time equivalent student in average daily
1212 attendance in an approved career and technology education program
1313 in grades 75 through 12, a district is entitled to an annual
1414 allotment equal to the basic allotment, or, if applicable, the sum
1515 of the basic allotment and the allotment under Section 48.101 to
1616 which the district is entitled, multiplied by:
1717 (1) 1.1 for a full-time equivalent student in career
1818 and technology education courses not in an approved program of
1919 study;
2020 (2) 1.28 for a full-time equivalent student in levels
2121 one and two career and technology education courses in an approved
2222 program of study, as identified by the agency; and
2323 (3) 1.47 for a full-time equivalent student in levels
2424 three and four career and technology education courses in an
2525 approved program of study, as identified by the agency.
2626 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
