| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 305.005(l), Government Code, is amended |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | (l) The registration form must include: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | (1) a statement of whether the registrant is or is |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | required to be registered as a foreign agent under the Foreign |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Agents Registration Act of 1938 (22 U.S.C. Section 611 et seq.); and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (2) a list of each country for which the registrant is |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | or is required to be registered as a foreign agent. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to a |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | registration filed on or after the effective date of this Act. A |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | registration filed before the effective date of this Act is |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | governed by the law in effect immediately before the effective date |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | of this Act, and the former law is continued in effect for that |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | purpose. |

| 24 | 24 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
