| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 303.042(f), Local Government Code, is | |

| 13 | 13 | SECTION 2. The repeal of Section 303.042(f), Local | |
| 14 | 14 | Government Code, does not apply to a leasehold or other possessory | |
| 15 | 15 | interest granted before the effective date of this Act. A leasehold | |
| 16 | 16 | or other possessory interest granted before the effective date of | |
| 17 | 17 | this Act is governed by the law in effect immediately before the | |
| 18 | 18 | effective date of this Act, and the former law is continued in | |
| 19 | 19 | effect for that purpose. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2024. |
