| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 112.002(d), Election Code, is amended to | |

| 12 | 12 | (d) A statement executed under Subsection (c) shall be | |
| 13 | 13 | submitted: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) to an election officer at any early voting polling | |
| 15 | 15 | place designated by the county as a polling place where voters may | |
| 16 | 16 | submit a limited ballot [the main early voting polling place], if | |
| 17 | 17 | the person is voting by personal appearance; or | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) with the person's application for a ballot to be | |
| 19 | 19 | voted by mail, if the person is voting by mail. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
