A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the property tax rate imposed by a municipal utility
district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 54.602, Water Code, is amended by adding
Subsection (d) to read as follows:
(d) A tax rate imposed under this section may not exceed $1
per $100 of taxable property value.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
