                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 88TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 10, 2023       TO: Honorable Ryan Guillen, Chair, House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB2670 by Howard (Relating to the composition of the Sexual Assault Survivors' Task Force and to compensation for task force members and certain other task force participants.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would include the Department of Family and Protective Services and two survivors of sexual assault as members of the Sexual Assault Survivor's Task Force and would allow for task force members who are not employed by the state to be eligible for reimbursement for travel related to task force duties.It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
