77 relating to requirements for and charges for service from public
88 drinking water supply systems.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 341.0315, Health and Safety Code, is
1111 amended by adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows:
1212 (c-1) Notwithstanding any other law, the commission by rule
1313 shall establish connection equivalency values for each meter size
1414 used to serve a recreational vehicle park, as defined by Section
1515 13.087, Water Code, for use in determining the number of
1616 connections served by a public drinking water supply system that
1717 provides service through meters. The rules must establish that
1818 eight recreational vehicle or cabin sites at a recreational vehicle
1919 park, whether occupied or not, are equivalent to one residential
2020 metered connection.
2121 SECTION 2. Subchapter E, Chapter 13, Water Code, is amended
2222 by adding Section 13.152 to read as follows:
2323 Sec. 13.152. BILLING FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PARKS. (a)
2424 In this section, "recreational vehicle park" has the meaning
2525 assigned by Section 13.087.
2626 (b) A retail public utility, other than a municipally owned
2727 utility described by Section 13.087, providing water or sewer
2828 service to a recreational vehicle park shall ensure that billing
2929 for the service is based on actual water usage recorded by the
3030 retail public utility.
3131 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
