| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 2051, Government Code, is |

| 11 | 11 | | amended by adding Section 2051.054 to read as follows: |

| 12 | 12 | | Sec. 2051.054. PUBLICATION BY POSTING ON NEWSPAPER WEBSITE. |

| 13 | 13 | | (a) Notwithstanding any other law, a governmental entity satisfies |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | a requirement to provide notice by publication in a newspaper if the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | notice is posted on the Internet website of a newspaper authorized |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | to publish the notice. |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (b) A notice posted under this section must, to the extent |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | possible, meet the time, content, appearance, and other |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | requirements provided by law for the posting of the notice. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
