| 8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 418.310(a), Government Code, is amended |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | (a) Not later than December [November] 1 of each |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | even-numbered year, the council shall submit to the legislature a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | report on the reliability and stability of the electricity supply |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | chain in this state. |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | to a report submitted on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
