| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 31.125, Election Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (b-1) A county shall use the top-level domain ".gov" or | |
| 13 | 13 | ".texas.gov" for an Internet website used to post election | |
| 14 | 14 | information as required by this code. | |
| 15 | 15 | SECTION 2. A county shall comply with the requirements of | |
| 16 | 16 | Section 31.125(b-1), Election Code, as added by this Act, as soon as | |
| 17 | 17 | practicable after the effective date of this Act but not later than | |
| 18 | 18 | September 1, 2024. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
