10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 6.060, Water Code, is amended by adding |
---|
12 | 12 | | Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
---|
13 | 13 | | (d) The board may allow a member of the public to testify at |
---|
14 | 14 | | a board meeting from a remote location by: |
---|
15 | 15 | | (1) telephone conference call, if the voice of each |
---|
16 | 16 | | member of the public testifying by telephone conference call is |
---|
17 | 17 | | audible to each other participant while the testifying participant |
---|
18 | 18 | | is speaking; or |
---|
19 | 19 | | (2) videoconference call in accordance with Section |
---|
20 | 20 | | 551.127, Government Code. |
---|
21 | 21 | | SECTION 2. Section 10.007, Water Code, is amended by adding |
---|
22 | 22 | | Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
---|
23 | 23 | | (c) The council may hold an open or closed meeting by |
---|
24 | 24 | | videoconference call in accordance with Section 551.127(c), |
---|
25 | 25 | | Government Code. |
---|
26 | 26 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
