| 7 | 7 | | relating to the sale of park land owned by certain municipalities. |

| 8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 253.001, Local Government Code, is |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | amended by adding Subsection (m) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | (m) Subsection (b) does not apply to a conveyance of park |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | land that is: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | (1) owned by a home-rule municipality with a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | population of less than 11,000; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (2) adjacent to property owned by an independent |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | school district; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (3) conveyed as provided by a resolution or ordinance |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | that has an effective date before December 31, 2024. |

| 19 | 19 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
