| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 17.0112(a), Water Code, is amended to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (a) The board may issue not more than $100 [$25] million in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | bonds [dedicated under Section 17.0111 of this code and may issue |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | not more than $50 million in bonds] authorized under Article III, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Texas Constitution, during a fiscal year to provide financial |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | assistance for water supply and sewer services as provided under |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Subchapter K of this chapter. |

| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
