| 24 | 24 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 25 | 25 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 520, Transportation Code, is amended by |

| 26 | 26 | | adding Section 520.0055 to read as follows: |

| 27 | 27 | | Sec. 520.0055. DUTIES OF MOTOR VEHICLE DEALERS. A motor |

| 28 | 28 | | vehicle dealer shall use the electronic system designed by the |

| 29 | 29 | | department and made available by a county assessor-collector under |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Section 520.005 to submit a title and registration application in |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | the name of the purchaser of a motor vehicle. |
