| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 201.8035, Transportation Code, is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | (c) The department may post a notice required under |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Subsection (b) for a bridge under the jurisdiction of a county or a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | municipality if the department is required or authorized under |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | federal law to post the notice. The notice must be posted in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | accordance with federal law. |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
