| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 1455.004(c), Insurance Code, is |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | repealed. |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 2. The repeal of Section 1455.004(c), Insurance |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Code, by this Act, applies only to a health benefit plan delivered, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | issued for delivery, or renewed on or after January 1, 2024. A |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | health benefit plan delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | before January 1, 2024, is governed by the law as it existed |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | immediately before the effective date of this Act, and that law is |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | continued in effect for that purpose. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
