| 8 | 8 | | schedule for the periodic reappraisal of property within an |

| 9 | 9 | | appraisal district. |

| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 25.18, Tax Code, is amended by adding |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | (b-1) The plan may provide for the reappraisal of a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | different group of property in the district in each year of a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | three-year period, subject to the requirement of Subsection (b) |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | that the reappraisal activities for real and personal property in |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the district prescribed by that subsection occur at least once |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | every three years. |

| 19 | 19 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
