According to TEC, the bill would require that the Electronic Filing System (EFS) used to record these data be modified by the software vendor. Methodology The bill would require substantial revisions to multiple data fields including modifications to reporting requirements for stocks and mutual funds. In addition to work performed by TEC staff, the agency would be required to pay for modifications performed by the software vendor for the EFS. Technology The agency estimates that the software vendor would require 900 hours to modify the EFS at a cost of $150 per hour. The total estimated cost for the modifications performed by the vendor would be $135,000 in fiscal year 2024.
