| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 260B.0002, Health and Safety Code, is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | (b-1) A facility or program provider that changes any policy |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | or procedure relating to essential caregiver visitation shall: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (1) post the changes to any Internet website the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | provider maintains; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (2) notify each designated essential caregiver by |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | telephone of the changes. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | SECTION 2. Section 555.202, Health and Safety Code, is |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (b-1) A state supported living center that changes any |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | policy or procedure relating to essential caregiver visitation |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | shall: |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (1) post the changes to any Internet website the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | center maintains; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (2) notify each designated essential caregiver by |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | telephone of the changes. |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
