2424 relating to the compensation of a distributed renewable generation
2525 owner in certain areas outside of ERCOT.
2626 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
2727 SECTION 1. Section 39.554(f), Utilities Code, is amended to
2828 read as follows:
2929 (f) Unless the commission approves an alternative method
3030 for compensating a distributed renewable generation owner for
3131 electricity generated by distributed renewable generation or a
3232 qualifying facility, for [For] a distributed renewable generation
3333 owner that chooses interconnection through a single meter under
3434 Subsection (e):
3535 (1) the amount of electricity the owner generates
3636 through distributed renewable generation or a qualifying facility
3737 for a given billing period offsets the owner's consumption for that
3838 billing period; and
3939 (2) any electricity the owner generates through
4040 distributed renewable generation or a qualifying facility that
4141 exceeds the owner's consumption for a given billing period shall be
4242 credited to the owner under Subsection (g).
4343 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
