| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 25.0932, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | amending Subsection (a) and adding Subsection (b) to read as |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | (a) In addition to the jurisdiction provided by Section |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 25.0003 and other law, a county court at law in Grayson County has: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (1) original concurrent jurisdiction with the justice |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | court in all civil and criminal matters over which the justice court |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | has jurisdiction; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (2) concurrent jurisdiction with the district court in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | family law cases and proceedings. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (b) The district clerk serves as clerk of a county court at |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | law in family law cases and proceedings, and the county clerk serves |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | as clerk of the court in all other cases. |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
