10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 225.190, Transportation Code, as added |
---|
12 | 12 | | by Chapter 927 (H.B. 3512), Acts of the 87th Legislature, Regular |
---|
13 | 13 | | Session, 2021, is redesignated as Section 225.214, Transportation |
---|
14 | 14 | | Code, and amended to read as follows: |
---|
15 | 15 | | Sec. 225.214 [225.190]. TROOPER CHAD M. WALKER MEMORIAL |
---|
16 | 16 | | HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of State Highway 164 in Limestone County |
---|
17 | 17 | | between the western municipal limits of Groesbeck [its intersection |
---|
18 | 18 | | with Farm-to-Market Road 1953] and the bridge over the Navasota |
---|
19 | 19 | | River [its intersection with County Road 789] is designated as the |
---|
20 | 20 | | Trooper Chad M. Walker Memorial Highway. The designation is in |
---|
21 | 21 | | addition to any other designation. |
---|
22 | 22 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
---|
23 | 23 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
---|
24 | 24 | | designation as the Trooper Chad M. Walker Memorial Highway and any |
---|
25 | 25 | | other appropriate information; and |
---|
26 | 26 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
---|
27 | 27 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |
---|
28 | 28 | | SECTION 2. To the extent of any conflict, this Act prevails |
---|
29 | 29 | | over another Act of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, |
---|
30 | 30 | | relating to nonsubstantive additions to and corrections in enacted |
---|
31 | 31 | | codes. |
---|
32 | 32 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
