55 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
66 AN ACT
77 relating to the information that the chief appraiser of an
88 appraisal district may require an agent who electronically submits
99 a designation of agent form to provide.
1010 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1111 SECTION 1. Section 1.111(k), Tax Code, is amended to read as
1212 follows:
1313 (k) On written request by the chief appraiser, an agent who
1414 electronically submits a designation of agent form shall provide
1515 the chief appraiser information concerning:
1616 (1) the electronic signature of the person who signed
1717 the form; and
1818 (2) the date the person signed the form[; and
1919 [(3) the Internet Protocol address of the computer the
2020 person used to complete the form].
2121 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
2222 to a written request for information made by a chief appraiser on or
2323 after the effective date of this Act. A written request for
2424 information made before the effective date of this Act is governed
2525 by the law in effect on the date the request was made, and the former
2626 law is continued in effect for that purpose.
2727 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
