77 relating to the permissible uses of the allotment for students with
88 dyslexia or related disorders under the Foundation School Program.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Section 48.103(d), Education Code, is amended to
1111 read as follows:
1212 (d) A school district may use [an amount not to exceed 20
1313 percent of] the allotment provided for a qualifying student under
1414 this section to contract with a private provider to provide
1515 supplemental academic services to the student that are recommended
1616 under the student's program or plan described by Subsection (b). A
1717 student may not be excused from school to receive supplemental
1818 academic services provided under this subsection.
1919 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
