| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | is amended by adding Section 225.217 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Sec. 225.217. LANCE CORPORAL ARMANDO HERNANDEZ MEMORIAL |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of Farm-to-Market Road 2090 in Montgomery |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | County between the eastern municipal limits of Splendora and mile |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | marker 690 is designated as the Lance Corporal Armando Hernandez |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Memorial Highway. The designation is in addition to any other |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | designation. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |

| 20 | 20 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | designation as the Lance Corporal Armando Hernandez Memorial |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Highway and any other appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
