| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | is amended by adding Section 225.0743 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Sec. 225.0743. VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | portion of State Highway 105 in Liberty County from Business State |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Highway 105-T to State Highway 321 is designated as the Veterans |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Memorial Highway. |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | designation as the Veterans Memorial Highway and any other |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |

| 22 | 22 | | SECTION 2. Section 225.126, Transportation Code, is |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | redesignated as Section 225.0742, Transportation Code, to read as |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | follows: |

| 25 | 25 | | Sec. 225.0742 [225.126]. VETERANS MEMORIAL |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of U.S. Highway 271 in Camp County is |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | designated as the Veterans Memorial Highway. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
