55 relating to the peace officers authorized to operate an authorized
66 emergency vehicle used to conduct a police escort.
77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Section 546.002(a), Transportation Code, is
99 amended to read as follows:
1010 (a) In this section, "police escort" means facilitating the
1111 movement of a funeral, oversized or hazardous load, or other
1212 traffic disruption for public safety purposes by a peace officer
1313 described by Articles 2.12(1)-(4), (8), (12), (17)(B), and (22),
1414 Code of Criminal Procedure.
1515 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
